Dr. Stephanie Todd

Dr. Todd is a Menopause Society Certified Practioner and is also a double board certified pediatrician and pediatric hospitalist based in northern Virginia. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in 2005 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health in 2002.  Between 2009-2025, she served as an attending physician and an associate professor of pediatrics at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C.  From 2019-2024 she was the medical director and chair of pediatrics at a community affiliate site associated with Children's National Hospital.

In 2025, Dr. Todd transitioned away from pediatric healthcare and medical teaching to focus on the care women receive during the perimenopause and menopause transition.  Based on her own personal experience as a patient in midlife within the current healthcare system, Dr. Todd founded Midlife Medicine.  Midlife Medicine is a direct care practice that partners with women to improve their quality of life and overall health, not just through symptom management but also through education, empowerment and agency.

Dr. Todd's goal is to have women regain their sense of self, health and well being for a lifetime of vitality.  In addition to being a double board certified pediatrician, she is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, a certified life coach, and stays up to date with current best practices through podcasts, medical journals, books, and conferences.

She is especially keen on serving women who are struggling to “have it all” in midlife while feeling unwell with their own hormonal changes and are ready to make a change.  She also has a heart for supporting mothers parenting adolescents who have their own hormone fluctuations and growing need for independence.
